Dr. Viji K George is the Medical Director & Chief Surgeon at Drishyam Eye Care Hospital (Drishyam). Before joining Drishyam, he worked as Chief Medical Officer at Vasan Eye Care, Thrissur, Chief Surgeon & Department Head of Ophthalmology at Al-Shifa Hospital, Perinthalmanna, Asst. Professor in Kolenchery Medical College and as Medical Officer in Aravind Eye Hospital Coimbatore. He did his MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Calicut in 1994 and MS Ophthalmology from M&J institute of Ophthalmology, Ahmadabad in 2000. He completed his DNB from National Board of Examination New Delhi in 2001 and FRCS from University of Glasgow, UK, in 2002. Dr. Viji K George did his fellowship training in Anterior Segment Surgery and Phacoemulsification from Aravind Eye Care System (2000 – 2002). In his more than 15 years of ophthalmology practice, he has done more than one lakh successful ophthal procedures.
