The Department of Orbit is the management of diseases and abnormalities of the orbit, eyelids and the lacrimal system. Ptosis (Drooping of the upper eyelid) is one of the major eye disease dealt under this unit. If the lid droop is very severe especially in young children, it can even lead to lazy eye (amblyopia). The eye condition needs to address in time to ensure the cosmetic aspect of the person is taken care. Oculoplasty unit deals with plastic surgery around the eye.
